A New Marshfield man accused of playing a role in the aggravated robbery of an Ohio University student has pleaded guilty in Athens County Common Pleas Court and could spend the next several years in prison.
Bryon Ely, 21, pleaded guilty to the aggravated robbery and to unrelated cases of theft and two charges of receiving stolen property, one a felony and the other a misdemeanor.

Sugar Regulatory Administrator Rafael Coscolluela yesterday said he was not arraigned for charges lodged against him before the Sandiganbayan yesterday, because his lawyer has filed a motion for reconsideration.
Coscolluela has been accused of buying allegedly overpriced medical and farm equipment worth P20 million from a supplier without license from the Bureau of Food and Drugs eight years ago while he was still governor of Negros Occidental.

The eighth meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Access and Benefit-sharing (ABS) of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) was held from 9-15 November 2009, in Montreal, Canada.

Khan said if the court ruled in Udecott's favour, the report would be null and void, and they would not have suffered any prejudice if the commission had continued their work.
However, Khan had no doubt in his mind that Udecott would lose that matter in the court.

TAMWORTH regional councillor Ray Tait, along with as Tamworth residents Charles McCarthy and Scott McLachlan, has been appointed as a new member to the Northern Inland Regional Development Australia (RDA) committee.
Welcoming the new members, NSW Minister for Regional Development Phil Costa said they would join chair, Kevin Abey and deputy chair, Kevin Dupé.
The new RDA committee replaces the former State-funded Regional Development Board and federally-funded Area Consultative Committee.
